The celebration goes on for Don and Jan. Witnessing this lovely couple renew their vows after 40 years of marriage just about pulled the strings to my little heart. Witnessing these two individuals reaffirming their commitment for one another 40 years after their first “I do” was one of the sweetest moments.
The ceremony was held in Carlsbad, CA it was an intimate gathering shared with close family members and friends of the couple. A fun little detail about this event is that the groom kept it total surprise from his bride. Jan’s reaction when everything unfolded was priceless.
Take a peek at some of the fall floral pieces I created for this couple’s special vow renewal.
I wanted to carry out the coral and peach tones for both of the floral pieces – using garden roses, cafe au lait dahlias, amaranthus, ranunculus and scabiosa. The antique glassware and vases highlighted the couple’s vintage black + white wedding photo and added a nice touch to complete the rustic feel.
